Senior Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary: The Senior Maintenance Engineer will apply the principles of engineering, physics and materials science for the design, analysis, manufacturing, and maintenance of manufacturing systems. This will include the application of engineering concepts to the optimization of equipment, procedures, and departmental budgets to achieve better maintainability, reliability, and availability of equipment. The primary role of the Senior Maintenance Engineer is to identify and manage asset reliability risks that could adversely affect plant or business operations.

Responsibilities

  • Reliability & Availability: Maximizing uptime and output of machinery.
  • Preventive / Predictive Maintenance: Continuous improvement, developing and implementing PM / PdM programs.
  • Troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis: Investigating complex breakdowns and finding root causes.
  • Proc4ess Improvement: Optimizing maintenance procedures, budgets, and workflows.
  • System Optimization: Improving equipment reliability through advanced control systems, such as Programmable Logic Controls (PLCs) and robotic automation.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensuring all equipment meets OSHA and NFPA safety standards and conducting regular risk assessments.
  • Data Analysis: Using data from CMMS (computerized Maintenance Management Systems) to identify trends.
  • Safety & Standards: Ensuring compliance with regulations and implementing safety protocols.
  • Project Management: Overseeing equipment installations, upgrades, and new system development.
  • Assist in training other team members on standards and processes
  • Professionally and systematically defines, designs, develops, monitors and refines an asset maintenance plan

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required
  • 7 + Years of experience in a manufacturing setting
  • 2+ years of experience leading an engineering team
  • 2 + Years’ experience within aluminum or steel or heavy process manufacturing operation running 24/7 preferred
  • Industrial Maintenance experience is preferred
