Maintenance Cost Analyst- Temporary Position

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Cost Analyst will be responsible for performing timely and in-depth analysis to provide decision-support for the Director of Maintenance and site leadership.  This analysis includes, but is not limited to, maintenance spending trends, performing variance analysis, tracking initiatives as part of costs savings program, ensuring SOX compliance and other ad hoc analysis.  This position will also work closely with site FP&A team on the budgeting/forecasting process.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Reports to Director of Central Maintenance & Reliability
  • Provides guidance and decision-support on daily, weekly, monthly maintenance spending trends
  • Assists in developing maintenance budgets and monthly forecasts
  • Analyzes variances to maintenance budgets/forecasts
  • Understands the cost drivers to maintenance and be able to articulate the ways to facilitate the change
  • Tracks benefits from actions in place contributing to costs savings program
  • Ensures SOX compliance and proper Group’s policy application
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business-related field required.
  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience in costing and cost analysis, esp. in a maintenance arena
  • Working knowledge of SAP
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerBi
  • Perform, understand and communicate detailed information analysis and evaluation, and have a good track record working effectively within a team-based environment
  • Experience and adaptability to working a growing environment.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
  • Requires effective written and oral communication skills sufficient to communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills, extreme attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines in a multitasking environment.
  • Well-developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Minimal physical effort is required.
  • Experience and adaptability to work in a growing environment

 

About Constellium Muscle Shoals:   

Constellium Muscle Shoals is a major aluminum sheet supplier for the packaging and automotive markets. The plant has ~1,200 employees and more than 100 acres under room, including five casting units, hot and cold rolling mills, and a slitting and finishing center. Muscle Shoals produces aluminum sheet for use in all three components of beverage cans (body stock, coated end stock, tab stock) and has the capacity to produce over 1 billion pounds per year of finished aluminum coils. The plant also produces aluminum automotive coils to be processed at our CALP line in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Muscle Shoals’ world-class recycling center is able to recycle the equivalent of 20 billion aluminum cans per year.
