Senior IT Project Manager

Job Summary: 

The Senior IT Project Manager is part of the regional IT organization and is focused on delivering multiple projects and programs across the region and liaison with the multiple BUs. The role will play a critical part in setting up a regional Program Management Office and guiding the technical leads with project management techniques and processes as required.  This individual will play a leadership role on many of the Solution Delivery teams, will be the IT PM responsible for preparing and coordinating the initial business idea, guiding it through the various Gates and Financial approvals and play a critical role in eventually delivering the assigned projects as defined in projects roadmap. 

  

This function will liaise closely with: 

  • Regional IT Leadership 

  • Local IT teams  

  • Functional domain experts 

  • Vendors as necessary 
  • Plant Management and Business Process Owner, key business stakeholder 

  

Delivering assigned projects successfully is the main activity for the role. This position is a remote position, and the individual should be able to perform all the activities while working remotely.  This role may require some travel to other North American sites, as necessary.    

  

This role is expected to manage individual projects and programs as well as lead the development of a robust and functioning Program Management Office for the North America businesses.  This role will play a critical part in the setup of a PMO, managing metrics, measures and performing project reviews and publishing dashboards to the management team.   

  

This role will be part of the North America IT Leadership team and play a pivotal part in growing and maturing the IT Operations.  This role will also involve exposure to the Central IT teams in Europe and collaboration on best practices and processes. 

  

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage overall project delivery from demand, scoping through requirements, design, implementation, testing, deployment and closing 

  • Responsible for the delivery of the project in an on-time, on-scope and within a on budget (in charge of project financial management) 

  • Manage stakeholder expectations and communications 

  • Manage the project budgets and financial analysis and spend 

  • Manage risk and issue processes, report to agreed project governance (example: steering committee, IT site manager) 

  • Setup the project team with the right resources and skills from technical / IT and business perspective 

  • Ensure the production of the relevant functional and technical requirements by the business and technical analysts 

  • Own the day-to-day interaction, communication and management of any vendor supplying services to the project 

  • Manage quality of deliverables throughout the project lifecycle 

  • Work with the Release Manager to manage any IT changes into production. 

  • Work with the Business project manager to plan communication and necessary training for the change delivered by the project. 

  • Manage User Acceptance testing for changes implemented by projects 

  • In charge of handover to Service Operations team and/or local IT teams. 

  • Develops and mentors’ staff and contract resources 

  • Give support and be a teacher to other technical leads on small projects and guide them with project management processes and techniques. Evaluate & deliver IT transformation initiative (e.g.: IT landscape & sourcing initiatives, support ITIL on application scope). 

  • Manage coordination between US sites & Europe 

  • Lead the development of project management office for North America  

  

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology,  or business, or related field; master's degree is preferred 

  • PMI/PMP Certification is required. 

  •  10+ years of experience with delivery of numerous end-to-end large and complex projects with significant budget ($3-5 million US dollars), and preferably in manufacturing environment. 

  • Fully competent in vendor relationship management  

  • Ability to work effectively with all organizational levels and different stakeholders  

  • Credibility to discuss with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deal with demand management 

  • Effective communication & leadership skills 

  • Willing to develop a Project Management Office at Constellium (coaching, training …). 

  • Fluency in English is necessary 

  • Accustomed to travel within the US  

  • Demonstrated knowledge with Metrics, Measures, Dashboards 

  • Strong analytical skills required including Teams, SharePoint, Excel and other Microsoft product suites. 

 

Benefits: 

Salary Range $140,000.00 - $160,000.00 

 

New hires for this position fall within this range and are anticipated to have the opportunity to earn more overtime, based on their performance and skills.  Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual’s relevant knowledge, skills, and experience for the position.
