Job Summary: Central Maintenance Manager


Responsibilities

  • Leading by example, enforce all health and safety regulations, maintain safety records, and create a safe work environment.
  • Oversee day to day maintenance operations in the Central departments, coordinating all activities with the production centers.
  • Lead all maintenance efforts, including preventative maintenance strategies, routine repairs, and breakdowns.
  • Motivate a team of engineers, maintenance technicians and supervisors, fostering a culture of Safety and Reliability Centered Maintenance.
  • A working knowledge of OSHA standards to keep the workplaces safe, covering hazard communication, PPE, fall protection, electrical safety (Lockout/Tagout), machine guarding, and emergency procedures
  • Develop and maintain the maintenance budget, control costs, ensuring critical spare parts are available.
  • Plan, lead and execute multiple Outages through the Plant, ensuring start-up schedules and budgets are adhered to. 
  • Setup and track KPIs to drive desired results

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline from an ABET-accredited program, required, (relevant hands-on experience that demonstrate skills could be considered)
  • 8 to 10 years of experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical systems, as well as experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) software.
  • Extensive hands-on experience and trouble shooting in a relevant maintenance or industrial setting
  • Ability to pass pre-employment testing under specific area of discipline, required
  • Willingness to learn, required
  • Ability to adapt to a new environment, required
  • Effective communication (both written and verbal) with the ability to adapt communication styles to different audiences, preferred
  • Effective time management with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines, preferred
