Job Summary:

The Process Engineer will optimize performance, maximize material recovery, eliminate process waste, and improve productivity & conversion costs. This is done through engineering and metallurgical solutions, focused improvement projects, and process control. This position works closely in a team environment with other Engineers and managers. This position also supports the quality systems requirement for the coil path and customer quality satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Maintain and improve processes to improve product capability & performance, process efficiency and material recovery.
Provide Technical expertise & support to daily activities
Lead and supports Coil Quality projects and activities
Lead or participate in the investigation, data analysis and implementation of solutions to complex problems involving multiple production centers and technical aspects
Create opportunities for process improvement and act on those ideas through equipment modification, process improvement, material changes, etc.
Support the quality systems requirement for the CPG department (internal audits, equipment calibration, MOC, CAR, PFMEA, external audits, etc.)
Collaborate with Quality Team on claims/ issues that need immediate resolution

Qualifications:

5 Years experience in Aluminum rolling or finishing, preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline, strongly preferred
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment required
Ability to pass pre-employment testing under specific area of discipline, required
Ability to adapt to a new environment, required
Effective communication (both written and verbal) with the ability to adapt communication styles to different audiences, preferred
Effective time management with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines,

Preferred

Proficient in Microsoft office
