Production Scheduler - CPG
Job Summary:
The Production Scheduler (CPG) is responsible for planning, coordinating, and scheduling all production activities within the department. This role ensures that production meets customer demand, quality standards, and safety requirements while optimizing efficiency and minimizing costs. The role encompasses the effective integration of customer and operational requirements that meet or exceed on time delivery and coil volume objectives. The incumbent will monitor delinquency and build plans for containment of any delinquency issues, monitor and maintain coil inventory behind all machine centers to ensure optimal WIP levels. The Production Scheduler works closely with vendors to maintain all packaging supplies throughout the department, leads and participates in special projects, and supports production supervisors as needed.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Production schedules
- Ensure all customer dates are hit and desired OTIF dates are made
- Data collection and analysis regarding KPIs and monthly targets
- Manage inventory levels within the department
- Inventory packaging and order as needed
- Back up production supervisor as needed.
- Lead and participate in special projects
- Turn information into action to achieve focused results on behalf of customers and therefore the business
Qualifications
- Associates degree, or 5 years relevant industrial, required
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment (ex. Internship or Group Project participation), required
- Ability to pass pre-employment testing, required
- Willingness to learn, required
- Ability to adapt to a new environment, required
- Effective communication (both written and verbal) with the ability to adapt communication styles to different audiences, preferred
- Effective time management with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines, preferred
