Primary Purpose

Provide daily financial support to the manufacturing department managers. Identify risks & opportunities and communicate to responsible individuals.

 

Key Accountabilities

  •  

    • Act as a business advisor to the APU’s on financial matters related to cost and capex.
    • Responsible for monthly reporting and analysis of costs and variances of Constellium’s RPR APU’s Casting, Plate, Cold Rolling, Finishing, Inspection and Loading, and Converter departments.
    • Analyze monthly variances between actual, budget and forecast on departmental spending and conversion cost charged by different converters.
    • Perform weekly and monthly analysis on approximately $75 million of annual maintenance spending. Report and challenge daily requisitions to ensure proper accounting treatment is followed and the capital guidelines are being followed. 
    • Communicate with operations and production control to generate a monthly forecast and a variance analysis as compared to Budget and prior forecast.
    • Help prepare the annual Budget and 5 Year Plan in accordance with Constellium specifications as it relates to operations.
    • Responsible for ensuring that the monthly financial closing tasks performed are in accordance with GAAP/IFRS while maintaining a two-day close.
    • Complete assigned account reconciliations by WD10 to support the financials.
    • Ensure assigned tasks are in compliance with all internal control procedures and SOX.
    • Participate in monthly operating expense reviews to ensure that selected accounts are properly analyzed and reconciled.
    • Prepares and validates monthly Non-metal Procurement savings and explains yearly variances.
    • Reports monthly energy usage and validates the metrics in the corporate database.
    • Perform ad hoc analyses as required.
    • Support the requirements by external and internal auditors.
    • Supports the requirements from HR/Payroll for HC Statistics and etc.  Must maintain high levels of confidentiality.

     

 

 

 

 

Leadership / Technical Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Master of Business Administration (MBA)
  • 10 + years if manufacturing accounting and standard cost experience helpful
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles
  • Familiarity with SOX and internal controls
  • Ability to work in a fast-pace team environment
