Site Infrastructure Manager
Job Summary:
The role is responsible for leading all aspects of onsite and cloud infrastructure operations, ensuring high availability, security, and compliance across the Ravenswood plant. This includes managing a 24/7 data center and disaster recovery site, overseeing virtualized environments (VMware, SAN, Linux/Windows servers), and administering key relational databases.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily IT infrastructure operations for a site that runs 24/7/365.
- Manage a 24×7 onsite Data Center and Disaster Recovery (DR) site.
- Lead cloud infrastructure management and cloud migration initiatives.
- Administer key ITSM/ITIL processes: Service Desk, Incident, Change, and Problem Management.
- Lead a small team of systems, network, and storage engineers.
- Manage and participate in on‑call rotations and incident response activities for a 24/7/365 operation.
- Develop CapEx and OpEx budgets for the infrastructure organization.
- Develop and maintain Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans.
- Ensure effective backup, recovery, and DR testing for all systems and databases.
- Lead and support SOX, SOC, TISAX, and other audit and compliance activities.
- Maintain complete asset inventory for the entire site.
- Partner with Cyber Security and support a Zero Trust environment.
- Work with Corporate Networks and Enterprise Services on connectivity and infrastructure.
- Analyze complex business needs and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
- Define project scope and priorities in collaboration with leadership and cross‑functional teams.
- Monitor and maintain infrastructure KPIs within acceptable ranges.
- Ensure systems comply with corporate and local IT standards.
- Maintain physical network stability and deploy modern technologies that enhance security and uptime.
- Oversee VMware/SAN environments, including performance monitoring, capacity planning, SAN allocation, and upgrade planning.
- Manage all virtual servers (Linux and Windows) supporting shop‑floor and office systems, including OS upgrades and patching.
- Oversee administration of DB2, SQL Server, and MySQL databases across Ravenswood and other NA plants as needed.
- Ensure reliable system and database backups are maintained and can be restored when needed.
- Maintain and support the site’s phone systems throughout their lifecycle.
- Manage all software licenses specific to the site
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of hands‑on IT infrastructure experience (data center, servers, networks, cloud).
- Proven leadership experience managing systems, network, or storage engineering teams.
- Strong knowledge of ITSM/ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem, Service Desk).
- Deep experience with VMware, SAN storage, and Windows/Linux server administration.
- Demonstrated success supporting a 24/7/365 operational environment with on‑call and incident response.
- Experience building and executing Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans, including DR testing.
- Strong understanding of enterprise networking and corporate/enterprise connectivity environments.
- Experience managing compliance frameworks such as SOX, SOC, TISAX, ISO27001, or NIST.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally with operations, engineering, corporate IT, and production teams.
- Budget management experience (CapEx and OpEx) for infrastructure systems and lifecycle planning.
