Accountant & Controller (Fixed-Term Contract)

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Accountant & Controller to join our Finance team in Zurich on a fixed-term contract until the closing activities related to 2026 are complete, which is estimated to be in mid-January 2027.

The Finance Department consists of 6 professionals and is responsible for all accounting, reporting, compliance, planning and budgeting activities for two entities of the Constellium Group. 

The successful candidate will support the Finance team by performing and assuming responsibilities for accounting (especially payables), controlling and cash forecasting for Constellium US Holdings I LLC. Reporting to Finance Manager, this is a role with high visibility and exposure, which contributes to making sure that accounts are up to date, monthly reporting is timely made with high quality standards, that cash forecast is accurately produced weekly, and that the internal control framework (SOX) is maintained without deficiencies.

Key accountabilities 

Accounting tasks:
•    Booking of daily & monthly transactions (including payables, netting transactions and financing transactions).
•    Booking journal entries linked to accruals, prepayments, payroll and justifying the relevant accounts.
•    Preparation and monitoring of weekly payments (SAP and manual) and preparation of bank reconciliations (including in-house bank).
•    Preparation and monitoring of weekly/ bi-weekly direct cash forecast sent to Treasury Team and monthly reconciliation between indirect and direct cash forecast.
•    Manage the intercompany re-invoicing on corporate costs and hosted costs.
•    Prepare the monthly accounting close for the entity, including the applicable SOX controls.
•    Tangible and intangible assets: creation of new assets, monthly depreciation booking.
•    Examine expenses submitted by employees.
•    Provide periodical documentations to Group Tax (US) – upon request; to facilitate tax calculation and filings.
•    Maintain Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss account schedules.
•    Responsible for monitoring and executing internal controls in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements (as owner of SOX processes which are related to the tasks performed).
•    Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results.
•    Contribute and support the development and implementation of new solutions and enhancements to the finance processes.
•    Assist in other ad-hoc reporting and analysis tasks.

Controlling tasks:
•    Preparation of monthly flash report for Constellium US Holdings I LLC analyzing variances to forecast, budget and prior year actuals.
•    Supporting the preparation of Functions’ cost forecast, which focuses on labor and non-labor costs.
•    Producing ad-hoc analysis for Corporate Finance team.


Qualification and Competences

•    Education in accounting, business administration or in a similar field; minimum Bachelor’s degree.
•    Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience in a multinational organization.
•    Strong accounting and analytical skills with operational experience in a multinational environment (IFRS/ US GAAP).
•    Good understanding of treasury processes (including cash forecasting process).
•    Result oriented and process driven.
•    Excellent organizational skills and great attention to detail.
•    Pro-active and flexible. Able to work in a diverse and multi-cultural team (cross-organization) in a global matrix organization and international mindset.

•    Highly proficient in English is a must. French and/or German language skills are a plus.
